For some reason, Royal Enfield failed to offer any extra fused and switched accessory circuits or a standard battery tender connector on the HIMILAYAN. So we have designed and manufactured a nice harness with some cool features that anyone should be able to install in about 30 minutes with common hand tools. The harness is made of high-quality OEM grade materials for years of trouble-free service. It is also protected by a 15 amp fuse.
MOTO STUFF 12 volt accessory Harness for 2017-2023 (inlcidng Tripper equipped models) HIMALAYAN features:
2 switched 12-volt leads that are long enough to reach the handlebars or instrument cluster area.
SAE connector for quick connection of Battery Tender
We recently discovered that some owners of ABS models were having a hard time locating the tail light connector we were using for the switched 12-volt circuit to energize our harness when the ignition is switched on. So we did some further investigation and found an easy connection point on the bikes diagnostic service connector on all Himalayans that can be used for this.
The printed instructions show this new connection point in step 5. The video below still shows the old connection point. (This is shown beginning at around 6:40 for reference)
This is the diagnostic connector (photo below) with the yellow 12-volt switch circuiton our harness connected.
Installation overview:
Remove the seat to gain access to the battery, connect the red lead of the MOTO STUFF harness to the positive battery terminal and the black lead to the negative battery terminal. Use the included Posi-Tap connector to attach the MOTO STUFF relay switch wire to the Himilayan harness near the battery. Route the MOTO STUFF harness under the fuel tank, up through the triple clamps and to the handlebars or to the dash area if you are using one of our 12-volt accessory USB or 12-volt sockets (cigarette lighter style). Available below.
12-Volt Socket Version:(cigarette lighter style) This is a high-quality 12-volt socket we developed to offer an OEM appearance, with a water-resistant hinged spring-loaded cover. Easily installed in just a couple of minutes, all you need is an 8mm wrench or socket to remove the rearmost windscreen adjusting bolt (left or right side) so you can insert the bracket of your MOTO STUFF USB/12 volt socket accessory in place. Reinstall the bolt and tighten to secure the bracket in place and plug the end of the MOTO STUFF HIMALAYAN harness into the USB/12 volt socket connector and you are ready to go! Step by step detailed instructions are included.
Dual USB Version:This is a high-quality dual USB charger with an OE appearance featuring a water-resistant spring-loaded hinged cover. The dual USB charger outputs 2.1 amps for fast phone charging and features a blue led indicator to let you know it's on.
Easily installed in just a couple of minutes, all you need is an 8mm wrench or socket to remove the rearmost windscreen adjusting bolt (left or right side) so you can insert the bracket of your MOTO STUFF USB/12 volt socket accessory in place. All Kits include 18" 2 circuit lead (18 gauge red 12V+ and Black ground) with abrasion sheath and 2 black zip ties for secure installation.
USB Adapter-For your convenience, We've sourced a rugged Dual USB charger with aluminum housing for use with the 12 Volt socket kit- Available below. It does not fit flush, so it keeps the cover open about 3/4 of the way open, which provides easy access to the lower port as well as providing some protection against light rain/water exposure.
This is a 15 AMP switched circuit, which means it is turned off and on by the bikes ignition switch.

We don't advise installing on the stock handlebars as the stock bars are super soft and usually get bent on the first drop.
On the HONDA CRF 250L and 300L including Rallys, there are a few mods needed to run aftermarket bars, mainly grinding off the locating tabs on the turn signal and start button housings. And you will need to use some stainless steel tape to increase the diameter of the bar surface where these housings clamp. And we. usually sand or file off the throttle housing tube ridges so you can't feel them after installing new grips.

SRC Full Dash Panel 2017-2020 CRF 250L Rally
Add some room for switches and electrical accessories in an ergonomically safe and accessible location around the perimeter of the stock instrument panel. Constructed of 16 gauge steel powder coated a nice satin black.
* Due to popular demand, we have now upgraded the full dash with the switches fully wired and ready to attach to the 12V+ connection of your 12-volt accessories such as auxiliary lights, heated grips, heated gear, etc. Each switch offers an 18" long wire lead that is controlled by the rocker switch and terminated with a Posi-Lock (see below for a description of how Posi-lock functions). This circuit is powered by the bikes auxiliary 12-volt power source that the dash plugs into, so the switches power will also be turned off when the ignition is switched off. Please call or email if you need further explanation of how it works, but basically, all the SRC dash accessory circuits are switched by the ignition. The 2 rocker switches provide additional power and switching options whenever the key is in the on position.

To install, you'll need to remove the instrument panel. This is fairly easy. It takes about half an hour with common hand tools. We recommend watching the first 60 seconds of our LED TURN SIGNAL VIDEO as it clearly shows how to remove the windscreen, the headlight assembly for easy access to the 3 screws that hold the instrument panel in place as well as the wiring harness connector. With the panel removed, position the Rally Dash into place end then simply re-install the panel, headlight, and windscreen, connect the power lead to the 12-volt connector inside the left fairing (you'll need to remove the protective dust cap prior to making the connection) and you are ready to wire up the switches to power your favorite electrical accessories! *

Add some room for switches and electrical accessories in an ergonomically safe and accessible location around the perimeter of the stock instrument panel. Constructed of 16 gauge steel powder coated a nice satin black.
PLEASE NOTE! If your Rally is equipped with ABS, you will need to relocate the ABS switch and bracket. (see video at the bottom of this page for details)

To install, you'll need to remove the instrument panel. This is fairly easy. It takes about half an hour with common hand tools. We recommend watching the first 60 seconds of our LED TURN SIGNAL VIDEO as it clearly shows how to remove the windscreen, the headlight assembly for easy access to the 3 screws that hold the instrument panel in place as well as the wiring harness connector. With the panel removed, position the Rally Dash into place end then simply re-install the panel, headlight, and windscreen, connect the power lead to the 12-volt connector inside the left fairing (you'll need to remove the protective dust cap prior to making the connection) and you are ready to wire up the switches to power your favorite electrical accessories! *
* Due to popular demand, we now offer a version of the dash with the switches fully wired and ready to attach to the 12V+ connection of your 12-volt accessories such as auxiliary lights, heated grips, heated gear, etc. Each switch offers an 18" long wire lead that is controlled by the rocker switch and terminated with a Posi-Lock (see below for a description of how Posi-lock functions). This circuit is powered by the bikes auxiliary 12-volt power source that the dash plugs into, so the switches power will also be turned off when the ignition is switched off. Please call or email if you need further explanation of how it works, but basically, all the SRC dash accessory circuits are switched by the ignition. The 2 rocker switches provide additional power and switching options whenever the key is in the on position.

*This is a 15 AMP switched circuit on the 250L Rally, which means it is turned off and on by the bikes ignition switch.

WARNING: Most High output horns will draw too much amperage for this circuit. If you are planning to use a 12-volt compact air compressor, be sure to check it to make sure it does not draw more than 10 amps! Usually better to get a compressor that connects to your battery tender SAE connector and ensure it's got the proper capacity.

Ohlins Rear Shock for Rally HONDA CRF 250L RALLY 2017-2020
The single biggest complaint from CRF 250l and Rally owners is that the suspension is sprung way too light and the damping is inadequate. The bike seems to be set up for a 100-pound beginner rider- Here's how to fix that. A heavier spring or adjusting the pre-loadwill not resolve the issue. Ohlins STX46 Shock for 2017-2020 HONDA CRF 250L Rally The shock comeswith 2 spring options included. The factory-installed (64Nm/mm-6.53Kg/mm) spring on the shock is for riders up to 175 lbs (80 kg) and the stiffer (7.0Nm - 7.15Kg/mm) is for riders 175 lbs-215 lbs (80-98 kg). We also offer an extra Heavy Ohlins Spring (75 Nm/mm- 7.65Kg/mm) for 225 lb-260 lb riders (102-118 kg) available above for an additional $96 We can install the heavy spring or extra heavy spring for $85 installation fee for you if you like. We recently installed the kits on our Rally’s and noted 3 things that are sort of glossed over in the instructions.
1- When installing the rear shock, the remote reservoir line at the top of the shock must be oriented so the line is positioned towards the rear of the bike and the line routed around the left side of the shock towards the front of the bike where the reservoir mounts on the left side of the engine.
2-Removing the top shock bolt isn’t too hard, but re-installation takes 2 people. One to operate a ratchet installing the top shock bolt from the right side of the bike and a second person to position the nut in place from the left side of the bike using a magnetic pickup
tool or by taping the nut to the end of a screwdriver. The airbox/battery bracket is what’s in the way-
3- To remove the fork spring, you need to remove a steel retaining clip located inside the fork tube at the top of the spring. It takes 2 people to do this. One to use a flat blade screwdriver or similar tool to depress the spring a bit while the other person uses a dental pick or similar tool to pull the retainer clip out of the groove. There's not a lot of preload on the spring, so it's not dangerous, it's just a tight space that requires 3- 4 hands! :-)

Here's a nice video (below) from a customer who installed the crash bars and skid plate at the same time. When installing the SRC crash bars with SRC skid plate, use the brackets and bolts that come with the skid plate as shown in the video below beginning at around the 3:00 minute mark.

Please note, that we had quality problems with these in the past and discontinued them. We were recently contacted (October of 2024) by a new manufacturer and the quality is excellent. They are laser cut and machine formed, so the fit and finish is superior to what we had in the past.

Ohlins STX46 Shock for 2013-2020 CRF 250L The shock is equipped with a stiffer spring for 150-185 lb riders (68 - 84 kg) and offers precise rebound and damping control. (If you are installing on an ABS model, please click here to view the ABS install supplement sheet) The kit comes with great instructions and there is an installation video below.
Unfortunately, Ohlins does not offer a stiffer spring for the 250L. The best you can do is run the compression and rebound 20% firmer than normal and run your preload at the stiffer end of the sag setting.
We recently installed the kits on our CRF's and noted 3 things that are sort of glossed over in the instructions.
